Labratory
Grow weed from seeds and clones, breed strains for better genetics, and harvest graded product to sell. Every plant carries five DNA traits — the better the genetics, the better the grade.
Getting Started
Grow Cycle
A plant takes 3 hours base to fully grow. The Growth trait shortens that — Growth 100 finishes in 1.5h. Seeds hide their genetics and reveal one trait per stage; clones show all five from the start.
| Stage | Reveals (seed-grown) |
|---|---|
| Sapling | Growth |
| Maturing | Resilience |
| Fruiting | Yield |
| Ripe | Potency & Aroma — cloning unlocks |
Genetics — The Five Traits
DNA reads as five numbers (1–100), e.g. 82-31-74-45-38: Yield (harvest grams), Potency (grade), Growth (faster cycle), Resilience, and Aroma(market appeal). The five average into a genetics score that sets the strain's rarity and harvest grade. Fresh seeds roll mid-range numbers most of the time — plants that are excellent across the board are genuinely rare.
| Genetics Score | Rarity | Harvest |
|---|---|---|
| 1–49 | common | Low Grade Weed |
| 50–59 | uncommon | Street Weed |
| 60–74 | rare | Standard Weed |
| 75–89 | epic | Premium Weed |
| 90–100 | legendary | Exotic Weed |
Clones — Lock In A Good Roll
When a plant hits Ripe you can take cuttings once per cycle: 2 clones carrying the exact same DNA as the parent. Rolled a strong seed? Clone it before harvesting and the strain lives on — clones never get better or worse than the parent. Spare cuttings can be traded to other players on the blackmarket.
Mutations — Breed Something Better
Crossing two plants is the only way to beat both parents. Each of the child's five traits is a 50/50 coin flipbetween the two parents' value for that same trait — child Yield comes from one parent's Yield, child Potency from one parent's Potency, and so on.
That means the best strategy is crossing two strains with different strengths. A worked example:
- Parent A 82-31-74-45-38 — big Yield and Growth, score 54 → Street Weed
- Parent B 35-88-42-63-91 — big Potency and Aroma, score 64 → Standard Weed
- Best flips: 82-88-74-63-91 — score 80 → Premium Weed, better than either parent
- Worst flips: 35-31-42-45-38 — score 38 → Low Grade Weed
Each flip is independent, so landing every high trait is roughly a 1-in-32 long shot — but every high flip pushes the score up, and any child that beats its parents can be cloned to lock the line in. Breed, keep the winners, cross the winners again: that's the road to Exotic Weed.
Harvest & Selling
Harvesting converts the plant into graded weed — grams scale with Yield, grade with the genetics score. Sell fresh product straight to the local district shop (prices differ by district, so where you sell matters) or hold it in your inventory. Clone cuttings trade player-to-player on the blackmarket, so a proven strain is a business of its own.
