Terms of Service

Riva City is a free-to-play browser game and a work of interactive crime fiction. The city, its districts, characters, and events are entirely fictional. Nothing in the game is an instruction, endorsement, or encouragement of real-world behaviour.

All money, items, vehicles, and property in Riva City are fictional and exist only inside the game. In-game games of chance are played exclusively with this fictional currency: no real money can be deposited, wagered, won, or withdrawn, and in-game balances, items, and outcomes have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money or anything of real-world value. Riva City is not a gambling service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to play. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything that happens on your account. One account per person — creating multiple accounts to gain an in-game advantage is not allowed.

You agree not to:

• use bots, scripts, automation, or exploits to play or gain an advantage;
• abuse bugs — report them instead;
• buy, sell, or trade accounts or in-game assets for real money;
• harass, threaten, or abuse other players, or post unlawful content;
• interfere with the service, other players' access, or our infrastructure.

We may remove content, adjust in-game state, suspend, or terminate accounts that break these rules.

You keep ownership of the content you post (such as forum posts and chat messages), and you grant us a licence to host and display it as part of the service. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Riva City is in active development. Features may change, be reset, or be removed, and the service may be interrupted or discontinued. Game balance, fictional-currency balances, and items may be adjusted or wiped as part of development. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these terms as the game evolves. If we make material changes we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-game notice. Continuing to play after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
